Services

Hospice is a care-giving organization that provides support and care for terminally ill patient's who have a limited life expectancy.  We serve the south-central KY area (Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Simpson and Warren counties).  There are several requirements one needs to meet before receiving Hospice care.  The Hospice team involves family members in the care and support of the patient, training them in care techniques and aiding them in communication.  Hospice also continues the support after the patient's passing by providing grief consultation.

Regarding our Services...

Hospice is a service that enables the terminally ill to spend their final days where they would feel most comfortable and secure. In order to provide a lifestyle as close to normal as possible, Hospice addresses the physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of the patient. The emphasis of hospice care is on living rather than on dying. Hospice staff and volunteers can be with patients and their families to offer the special kind of support and care that eases the loneliness and fear of death. (learn more)

2010 Chocolate Festival
Sunday, February 21st at the Sloan Convention Center from 2-5pm. There will be over 35 restaurants and caterers, a slient auction and a celebrity cookie eating contest. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for 6-12, 5 and under are free.

"Raise Your Hand if you've been touched by Hospice"
In its first fundraising campaign Hospice of Southern KY is seeking to raise $3.2 million to pay for the new Hospice Center.  There are still naming rights available in the center, and all gifts of $5,000 or more will be included on a donor wall of honor. However, no gift is too small, and every gift is appreciated.(more information here)
